JASON HACKENWERTH

bio

Hackenwerth is world renown for his fine art balloon sculpture installations at major gallery and museum exhibitions and events in major cities world-wide.

His brilliant balloon sculptures are comprised of brilliantly colored twisted balloons. These highly dramatic sculptures resembling deep sea creatures, are often sexually suggestive and although made entirely of platex they are splendidly organic. The sculptures are installed as static floor installations or as mobiles hovering above the viewer and casting eery shadows on the walls. The sculptures last about 2 months and yet the deflation process is a beautiful transition. Hackenwerth's new body of work, made of wood, is an evolution of his signature forms.
