RON LAMBERT
Lambert interprets our society's endless need to perfect and manicure our natural and artificial environments. Through installation, video and drawing, Lambert investigates his understanding of man's futile attempts to impose systems and corrections intended to control nature. Once again, we see the artists' noteworthy craftsmanship of objects that reference commonly manipulated natural elements. For example, Lambert distinguishes a series of finely cut wooden rocks by placing them atop shelves on a 4-wheeled cart as if they are being delivered or proposed to a client. Lambert presents a fatalistic and optimistic mockery of our endless pursuit that is both ridiculous and beautiful.
Ron Lambert received a Master of Fine Art from the School of Art and Design at Alfred University. He continues to exhibit nationally and teach sculpture as Assistant Professor at Watkins College of Art and Design in Nashville, TN.

Lambert uses video and sculpture
as a means to explore the sublime. The artist explains, "It is in
the moments of the sublime experience that life slows down if even for
a second." Lambert
uses these very human moments as an opportunity to explore and convey
the pace of life, the loss of physicality and the sensations that occur
as we progress in a constant series of sublime states.
